     Grandview Stage Entertainment Lineup – Fall 2017

    Here’s what you’ve been waiting for folks – the Grandview Stage entertainment lineup for fall 2017 (thus far!). And it’s going to be fun!

    On Tues, Oct 3 Well known Canadian acoustic guitarist and fiddler JP Cormier makes another sojourn out west, appearing at Grandview on. For years, JP toure Tues, Oct 3, this time with well-regarded singer/songwriter Dave Gunning. JP played with Merle Haggard’s band as lead guitist and fiddler. Merle said he’d play with JP “any time, anywhere!  Should be a wonderful evening of music and fun.

    Then on Tuesday, Nov 14, PEI’s French/Acadian band Vishtèn returns to bring their unique brand of rollicking Celtic reels, jigs and ballads. An exceptional band that wowed us on their last visit, we can’t wait to see them again. More acts to come! Check us out at grandviewstage.com or in the Mountaineer.  Show tickets are usually $30 per show, with chef Joe’s finest plated dinner a great deal at $20.  Call 403-845-6404 for reservations or get em in person at the Grandview Stage store.  Supper at 6:00, shows start at 7:30 PM. Don’t forget our weekly Open Mic hosted by the versatile and talented Allen Christie every Wed night at 7 pm.  No cover charge and a great time for players and visitors alike.     COW LAKE ICE FISHING DERBY, cancelled again this year

    Our ANNUAL FAMILY DAY ICE FISHING DERBY , usually held on the third Sunday in February (Family Day Weekend) each year.  Great fun, great prizes, and free hot dogs and pop, coffee.  C’mon out.  Registration starts 7 am, breakfast buffet available.  Fishing start 9 am to 2 pm.  NOTE: due to low fish stocks, the Derby has not been held for 5 years, and will most likely not be held in 2018.  :(
